Position Summary
The Sales position is primarily responsible for revenue and profit growth of the custom manufacturing services that this client offers to a broad cross section of end use markets, which includes specialty chemicals, agriculture, pulp and paper, water treatment, mining, metal finishing, refining, electronics, and coatings and adhesives. You will be required to take a consultative sales approach with a primary emphasis on opening doors and identifying opportunities with the customer’s technical, manufacturing and senior management teams. Geographic responsibility is North America. The position is located out of the greater Houston, TX region. Relocation assistance would be considered for the right candidate. Main Responsibilities

Generate and execute an overall marketing plan to ensure that Seatex meets its revenue and gross profit growth goals

Utilize voice of the customer consultative selling strategy to identify additional or new capabilities and new market/product opportunities for Seatex production development efforts

Generate and execute sales plans to close new opportunities with new and existing customers to meet defined profit growth goals

Utilize creativity and networking to identify the right buying influences and open prospective customer doors. Effectively deliver compelling and differentiated value proposition to qualify for opportunities

Develop relationship breadth and depth across prospective customers thereby creating strong relationships with key stakeholders. Key points of contact will include personnel in senior management roles, research & development, operations, purchasing and quality.

Utilize effective questioning and listening skills to understand the customer’s business, technical and production needs; identify and communicate how Seatex fits into the customer’s value chain, helping them to grow sales and /or reduce costs

Presenting and advocating how Seatex’s solution best satisfies the customer’s needs in terms of quality, price and delivery. Developing, delivering and negotiating quotation and contract terms and conditions that deliver win-win outcomes

Provide technical and business support to customers; identifying and resolving customer challenges, escalating as required. Creatively solve problems to deliver results that will delight the customer

Actively and continuously communicate interdepartmentally so that customer expectations are understood and met

Participate in and follow up after trade shows, conferences and industry events

Generate and deliver oral and written reports, forecasts and budgets as required
Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering preferred or relevant industry experience

5+ years of successful chemical industry sales with a proven sales track record in specialty chemical custom manufacturing sales

Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multi-task

Excellent teamwork skills and strong leadership abilities

Achievement driven with strong initiative and excellent problem-solving skills

Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and organization skills

Ability to interact with all levels and functions in an organization, including executive level

Demonstrated knowledge of price and profitability management

Possesses a deep understanding of market and customer needs, having the ability to assess product performance, applications, market requirements, etc

Proficient computer skills including working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CRM tools
Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
